I watch TV every night after dinner. I often watch news and the shows in pearl. I also watch sports highlights such as NBA and soccer. This is the shows i watch: Nba, premier league and La Liga league, The amazing race, home's funniest videos, American got talent, Magics biggest secrets finally revealed tim warp, cake boss, myth busters and monster fish.

The first show I will talk about is The Amazing race. The Amazing race is a competition of teams of two traveling all over the world to compete against each other. In different countries, they need to do tasks in their fastest speed. The last pair to arrive to the checkpoint every episode will be eliminated. I like this show because the competition is exciting and from watching this, I also learnt the culture of different countries.

The second one is NBA highlights. Since basketball is one of my favorite sport, I watch the highlights everyday. My favorite team in the NBA is the San Antonio Spurs, which is a strong team. I like them because the players don't really argue when something is wrong and the won't fight against other players. I watch NBA highlights everyday after school. I am looking forward for the next season in the NBA.

I would usually like to watch discovery channel as there are many scientific shows which I like the most, like “Mythbusters” is one of the shows that I like. This show is about a bunch of people in LA want to see if that myth is true or not. “Man VS Wild” is about a guy who was in US Marine forces try to survive in the wild with only limited tools. “Bite me with Dr. Leaky” is a show about that doctor named in the show tried to find out the deadliest animal in the wild. “Dangerous Encounters with Brady Barr” is about this guy called Brady Barr who encountered and studied all kinds of Crocodile and Alligator known to be alive on earth. “Dog Whisperer” is about a guy called Ceaser Milan cure mental barriers of dogs, pretty boring but a lot to learn from the show.  I watched some game show also, for example ‘The Amazing Race” is about 12 teams race around the world for getting 1 million US$. I like to watch cartoon too. One of them is in cartoon network. It is called “The Amazing world of Gumball” Although it is rated PG, It is the best comedy in the whole channel. “Adventure Time” Talks about a human called Finn and a dog named Jake Plus a princess called Princess who rules the Candy Kingdom, this show is also rated PG , which no one cares. This show is about The adventure of Jake and Finn in the Kingdom.

“Pink Panther and Pals” is a common show for children other than “Tom and Jerry”. The show is about Pink Panther encounters problems with the white, Big nosed person. He use Extraordinary ways to tackle the problem. Also this show seems never ending. The last show I have is also a cartoon, called “Chowder”. This show is about Chowder the purple cat bear rabbit and his master, called Mung Daul having some funny stuff with extraordinary food.

I would prefer you to watch “Mythbusters” as it is awesome. It is about Adam and Jamie these two guys who handled special staunts for more than 25 years busting myths which most of them included explosion, mixing chemicals and more explosions. Those myths most of them are commonly known around us and some of them are modern ones.

TV Shows Make you Smarter

Some people think that watching TV is not healthy for kids and is a waste of time. However, I think that watching television is a good source of getting information and knowledge. As the saying goes, “Knowledge is power”. In fact, some TV programs are funny, informational and educational.

Recently, I have watched Jet Stream, Wind Driven, Wicked Tuna, Raju the Rickshaw, America’s funniest home videos, Geronimo Stilton, Junior Master Chef, Asia Today, Eye on Malaysia, Extreme Pilgrim and News at Seven-Thirty. I seldom watch and enormous amount of television on a single day. I usually watch TV during dinner’s time and the time I spent on watching TV is normally less than an hour a day. On weekends, I would spend more time on watching TV and I was allowed to watch TV for not more than two hours in a row.

I watched “News at seven thirty” at Pearl on weekdays. When I was very small, I was told that news on TV is the most watched program on Television. At first, I didn’t believe it. But later, I found that watching News on TV is interesting and can satisfy my hunger for information and curiosity. Watching “News at Seven-Thirty” becomes my hobby and I think that it is a good way of getting up-to-date local and world news.

Another good TV show that I have watched is “Junior MasterChef Australia”. It is a game show produced by Shine Australia. Competitors are all children who are only ten to twelve years old. Those little chefs compete with each other in the cooking game. The cooking game is exciting and breath taking. You can see that the competitors are all talented and have strong determination to win. I think that it is not important who the winner is. The best of the show is the cooking time. I enjoy watching how they managed their difficulties and meet their challenges.

TV Program I Like

The TV programs that I love to watch are: Fear Factor, Nation Geographic

Channel, Myth Busters, The Simpsons, Family Guy, NBA (Highlight), Barclay

Premier League, World Wrestling Entertainment, Smosh – (Youtuber), Fred –

The Show.

The Show I like the most is Fear Factor, because Fear Factor is a show full of

excitement because this show is trying to do some extreme things, I get two very

extreme scene to share, the first one is each team two people has to let one

player to get a box inside a oil barrel, and then inside the barrel there are 10

scorpions, and each players had to eat 5 of them. The second one is there is a

pool full of cow’s blood and the whole team had to jump into the pool and use the

mouth to bite cow’s heart and throw into a small box as much as they can.

The second show I like to watch is Myth Busters, the show will show all sorts of

Myth and test is they are real and I remember that they test can people survive

by jumping on to a tons of rubbish from the roof which the happen on many

times on action movies and they test we can survive by jumping on rubbish.

TV shows I watch (:

1. The 10 TV shows I watch

-Teen Titans
-Victorious

-icarly

-The News

-Pretty Little Liars

-Shake It up

-Friends

-Suite like of Zack and Cody/ Suite life on Deck

-Family Guy

-TLC- Cooking

2. Teen Titans, there are a lot of different episodes but the basic plot is about 5

Superheroes with different strengths and abilities, and they are a group called the

“Teen Titans”, it’s just a like every group of superheroes, they fight crime and they

save the day and everyone is happy. The characters are: Robin, Starfire, Raven,

Beastboy and Cyborg. Robin is the leader of the Teen Titans, but he doesn’t have any

super powers or any super natural ability. But he is a black belt and up in

Karate, he  has these gadgets that he designed by himself, specially for himself.

Starfire, an alien  girl from the planet Tameran, where people there have

unbelievable strength and has the ability to shoot star blots from their hands and

eyes and fly. Since her eye  color is green, she shoots green star blots from her hands

and eyes. She is very friendly and likes to make friends and be around anyone.

Raven, a quiet, dark and  mysterious, girl who was raised by the monks of Azarath in

the Temple of Azarath. She has the power of telekinesis, levitation, dimensional

travel and teleportation,  multilingualism using the incantation “Azarath Metrion

Zinthos” which can create an absolute havoc if uttered in no control and also capable

to  turn herself into half  demon form. Beastboy (real name Garfield Mark Logan),

was bitten by a creature  and contracted a serious illness called Sakutia, to save him

his parents gave him a new serum which gave him the ability of a shape shifter, as a

side effect of the  serum, his skin, eyes and hair(whole body) turned green. He isn’t

just a normal shape shifter, he has the ability to shape shift into any animal on Earth

or any animal  he has seen or met. And lastly Cyborg, he was once a promising

athlete, but during a horrible accident, he mother got killed and his injury was so

badly damaged that his body parts were replaced with cybernetics to keep him

alive. He has superhuman strength, resilience to damage, capable to fix many

alliances, unsurpassed knowledge of technology and robots, sonic cannons built in

his arm that can shoot sonic blasts and also numerous other gadgets in his body.

I usually watch Teen Titans when it’s on tv, I watch it maybe for an hour or so. It’s

usually on screen at 7:30pm, I think.

Type: Comedy, action (I think)

Channel: On Cartoon Network

Why I like it: It’s a really good show, for me at least. I think it’s really funny and

sometimes in some of the stories there are little lessons and stuff. It’s just a really

good TV show and part of my childhood. I miss this show so much J My favorite

characters are Starfire, Robin and Raven.

3. icarly, a web show created by Carly, Sam and Freddie who in coincidentally  are

best friends. It is a hilarious show for anybody. They are also living the normal lives

of teens. Carly, a kind easy going teenaged girl, a very caring person, tries to stay out

of any trouble Sam gets her into and get really good grades. Her brother is Spencer.

They live in Apartment 8-C, across from Freddie. She is also the host of their show, I

Icarly. Samantha(Sam), a sarcastic, aggressive, tomboyish and sometimes bullying

bad girl but best friends with Carly. Sam always gets in trouble, been to jail 3-4

times, doesn’t have any good grades, best grade is a C/C-. She loves food, she eats

practically anything. She doesn’t show much respect to anyone but very

sympathetically when it comes to Carly, Freddie, Spencer and Gibby. She is also co-

host of their web show icarly. Freddie, a very intelligent, geeky but “cool” person,

he gets way hyped when the topic comes to technology. He is part of the A.V club in

school, along with being a fan for World of Warlords (parody of War of Warcraft)

In the pass, Freddie has had feelings for Carly but didn’t really work out. Then

he and Carly found out that Sam has had a crush on him for a long time. They started

to go out but eventually broke up. Freddie is also technical producer of their web

show, icarly. Spencer, an eccentric, random, fun, weird guardian. He is often called

abnormal, weird, sometimes gullible, is very easily distracted and has the attention

span of a goldfish.  He has a very creative and fun spirit.  He surprisingly is an

amazing artist, he makes a ton of sculptures, all of them are so unique, creative

funny and weird in their own way. Spencer is quite the ladies man, he has dated

over 10 women, some of his relationships are more eccentric than he is!  And last

but not least Gibby, he used to be known for taking his shirt off for no apparent

reason at all. He used to be called a nerd and is a reoccurring bullied victim by Sam.

He appears on icarly most of the time, does crazy, random, bizarre and outrageous t

hings that no one could really think of doing. He is a great friend of Carly, Sam,

Freddie and Spencer.

I usually watch this show if I have time to watch it. This show is usually on

Nickelodeon at 4:30 but I haven’t watched this show in quite a while so I’m not sure

if the time has changed or not. This show is only for 30 minutes, so I watch the show

until the show is finished.

Type: Comedy

Channel: Nickelodeon

Why I like it: It’s a really humorous show. It’s full of hilarious and unthinkable

things. I really like this show because it’s just a like a real teenaged life of a teenager.

It’s really realistic and it’s just so funny! J My favorite character is Sam. Even

though her personality and stuff isn’t really worth liking but I don’t really know why

she is my favorite in all of icarly. And she is so prettyJ

Watching English TV

1. Discuss 10 shows you watch on TV (just list their names). When do you watch TV? How many hours a week?

I believe I should apologize. In the question, you required 10 TV shows, but the most I can think of is 8, if you only count English. So, these are the TV programs I watched:

-The Amazing world of Gumball (cartoon network)

-Adventure Time  (cartoon network)

-Tricky TV (cartoon network)

-Pearl English World News Headlines

-Breaking the Magician’s Code, Magic’s Biggest Secrets Finally Revealed 4

-Junior Master Chef

-America’s Funniest Home Video

-America’s Got Talent

I watch TV while I eat meals, like afterschool snacks and Dinner times. When I was younger I used to watch after shower when my parents blow my hair for me, but not now.

I watch approximately two to three hours a day, and around one hour on the weekends, which makes it 11-13 hours a week at most.

2. Choose 1 show + describe it in detail.

The Amazing word of Gumball

Characters: Gumball, Darwin, Anais, Nicole, Richard, Gumball’s friends and other citizens.

Plot: Gumball is a stupid fictional talking cat with Darwin (a fish) as a brother. Darwin, taking Gumball as a role model, is just being as dumb as his brother and together they experience lots of adventures, which is usually a misunderstanding due to their dumbness.

Time on TV: around 5 times a day, but the time schedule changes constantly. Mostly at 7pm

       Type: Cartoon Comedy

Channel: channel 16, Cartoon Network, Cable

Why you like it: Although whatever they do is meaningless, their actions and theory are funny and they have childish way of thinking – in a good way.

3. Same as two

Breaking the Magician’s Code, Magic’s Secret Finally Revealed 4

Characters: The Masked Magician, his numerous of “lovely” assistants (actually around 15), some “muscular” male assistants (around 5), a narrator, and some stage crew.

Plot: An anonymous masked magician does a big variety of magic tricks with a little (actually A LOT) help from his “lovely” assistants. After every trick, he reveals the secrets behind them and teaches us how he does it by removing some props or maybe from another camera angle.

Time on TV: only at 8:30pm every Saturday

       Type: a realistic series

       Channel: Pearl

Why you like it: it is very interesting to know how some magic tricks are done, although I could guess half of them and some secrets are quite easy and lame you could’ve said “chur”. It’s really helpful too, when there’re those shows they say, “I’ll bet you you can’t”, I’ll say “I’ll bet you I can”. Ha-ha in their face!

I watch T.V. when I have time, and usually during dinner. I watched Glee, and on pearl, Junior Master Chef, Project Runway, Americas got talent, News report, America’s Funniest Videos, cake boss and Weather Report.

One of the shows I'm going to talk about mentioned above is Glee. This is a musical show. There are lots of singings and, lots of different kind of plots. For example, about financial problems, competition problems, and lots of other problems. I like watching this show, because their are lots of nervous moments about how they fix their plots.

One of the news I'm going to talk about is: some students opposed National Education Curriculum. They are protecting Hong Kong Government head quarter offices. Three students stopped eating for many hours until one of them didn’t feel well. In the night of first September 2012 some other people came to help them. To stay outside the Hong Kong Government head quarters until the morning of third September. The problem is the student thought that the NEC would wash the students brain, so that the students will be taught the good points of Mainland China only. This will affect the independent and critical thinking of Hong Kong students.

Here are 10 shows that I usually watch when I was resting during free time. I

like to watch “Discovery” channel , specially “man vs. wild” and " Mythbuster" I think that it

was really exciting, because he could stay alive no matter what had happen. I also

like to watch the “Chasing UFO” show from “National Geographic, but  mostly I

had watch funny shows like “ The Simpsons” ,“American Dad” , “The Mr. Men

show” and “Pink panther” . I realize that Pink panther was

really a fun show, even though there are no sounds between characters, but I

notice that it was a mysterious and fun show. I really like the show “ The

Garfield” it was really funny and there is a surprise that you won’t realize on

every episode. I also watch “Heroes” , but not often because of the time it show

up. I usually watch TV  during free time , after I finish all my works. about

20 or more hours a week

“The Garfield” was one of my favorite show. Because it’s really funny and it

will never end , because there is many different episodes. The main character of

the show was Garfield himself, Jon Arbuckle and odie. It was a cartoon and it

appears on cartoon network or other different channels, about 6:00-6:30 pm ,

the show was mostly about the adventure of Garfield living in Arbuckle’s house.

“Mr. Men Show “ was a really good show too and it had impressed me.

Because all the characters in the show have a funny name . for example “Mr silly”

or “Mr Happy” and the plot of the story was always funny and it always end with

a happy ending. It was a carton show which appears on cartoon channels and

every episode was different and interesting.
