Unreal Tournament III Wont run with Hard Drive in

Hi All

Not much of a hardware fiend so your advice would be appreciated.

Have X-box 360 with 20 Gb hard drive (15 months old) - already been
back to the repair shop for 3 red lights.

I have managed to play Halo 3 online since it was first released with
no problem at all (apart from my skill level of course - or lack of
it).

A while back I borrowed Grand Theft Auto and I could not play it
online.
In fact I had to remove the hard drive from the machine before I could
play the game.
I thought it might be the game as did nothing about it as I was not
that impressed by the game and did not want to waste my time.

Last Friday I bought the long awaited Unreal Tournament III - great.
Loaded it and the same thing applies (most of the time). I have only
managed to get online once. The rest of the time I have had to remove
the Hard Drive and play locally. I hanges on the splash screen.

Is this a known problem or do I have a problem with my hard drive ?

Any advice will be greatly appreciated.
