During Teacher Appreciation Week the Administrators would like
to thank their teachers for all the wonderful things they do to make
our building a warm, caring place to learn.

                           Budget and Board Candidate Meetings

Please be aware that there is still one meeting this week that you
may
want to attend:

- Tonight, May 6, the Board will hold a state-mandated budget
hearing starting at 8:15 PM in the Wappingers JHS auditorium. The
hearing will be followed by a regular Board meeting.

- The district will also hold two community budget forums this week:
  Wednesday, May 7, JJ HS auditorium, 7 PM
  Thursday, May 8, RCK HS auditorium, 7 PM

The Budget Vote is scheduled for Tuesday, May 20th from
7:30am to 9pm. Check the district website if you are unsure of
where to vote.

Our 8th Grade students would like to plant a tree from the
Class of 2008. Donations to purchase the tree and a plague
will be accepted during all lunch periods.

The WJHS Baseball team had a dominant victory over Mahopac
Middle School with a score of 9-2. Great Job Boys!.

Our second Spring Concert will be this Thursday, May 8th
beginning at 7:30pm. The concert will feature performances by
the 7th and 8th Grade Bands, 7th and 8th Grade Orchestra
and the Jazz Band. Please join us for a wonderful evening of music!

The Art Club will meet Wednesday and Thursday this week
until 4:30pm. Students need to arrange for transportation home.

Capture the Flag Intramurals are scheduled for 7th graders today
and 8th graders on Wednesday. All participants will be able to
take the late bus home.

There will be an informational meeting for all girls interested in
trying out for RCK Volleyball or wishing to attend Volleyball
Camp on Thursday, May 8th in the small cafe. You will be able
to take the 3:50pm late bus home.

Track team members who ordered a hoodie or t-shirt
need to see Mrs. Calabrese in room 250.

Sports Physicals for "Fall" Sports are now being scheduled.
If you need a physical for next year please stop by the
Health Office to schedule an appointment and obtain the
necessary forms.
