Today is Day 5 at WJHS.

Congratulations to the Wappingers Junior High Cheerleaders on coming in
first place at the Westchester County Cheer Competition yesterday. The
girls did an excellent job and we are very proud of them.
A reminder to the girls that they will be having a pizza party on
Thursday after school. Please return your uniforms during the party.
You will take the 3:50pm late bus home.

WJHS is participating in the district wide book drive. Each building
will be collecting new books for newborns to age five. There is a box
in the Main Office for donations. Our building with the help of our
Student Gov't will also be collecting loose change during lunch periods
beginning Nov. 13th to purchase additional books.

Bowling intramurals will be today after
school.

Yearbook Sales continue in the large cafe during lunch periods. The
cost is $20 payable by cash or check. Please make checks payable to
WJHS. Yearbooks will be delivered in June (Quarter 4) to your Day 1
homeroom.

Today's Drama rehearsal after school has been cancelled. Instead
rehearsal will take place on Thursday, Nov. 30th.

Stage Crew will meet today and Thursday, Nov. 28th and Nov.30th until
4:30pm in room 223. Students will need to arrange transportation home.

Show Choir will meet this Wednesday, Nov.29th. This
rehearsal is mandatory.

The Step Team try outs will continue on Wednesday in the small cafe.
Participants must wear sneakers. Spectators are not permitted. Students
will take the late bus home.

Any student who did not attend the Ski Club meeting can pick up an
informational packet in room 149 or the Main Office. If you have any
questions please contact Mrs. Hardt in room 149 during homeroom or by
e-mail via her website.

There will be a mandatory meeting for any girl who is trying out for
modified girls' basketball on Wednesday, Nov. 29th after school in room
140. Students will take the late bus home.
Tryouts will start on Thursday, Nov. 30th. You must have a sports
physical and parent permission card on file with the nurse if you plan
to try out.

Art club will meet this Thursday, Nov. 30 until 4:30pm. If you cannot
arrange transportation home, you may take the late bus.

Any girl interested in trying out for Basketball Cheerleading must
attend a mandatory meeting on Tuesday, Dec. 5th. Tryouts will be
Tuesday thru Thursday, Dec. 5th - 7th from 3pm to 5pm. All girls must
have a school sports physical to tryout. Girls must arrange
transportation home.

Boy's Basketball tryouts start today, Nov. 28th. Please check the list
outside the gym for your name. To try out you must have a completed
Athletic/Consent Form (available in the Health office), a physical exam
from the school doctor within the past year and be
academically eligible.

Reminder from the PTA:
HANNAFORD HELPS SCHOOLS:
Please support our school by participating in the Hannaford Helps
School Program. Customers will receive school dollar certificates at
the register with the purchase of participating products. Participating
items have a Hannaford Helps School label bib. The
program will continue until December 2nd. At the end of the program,
the certificates will be turned in for cash for our school. The school
with the most certificates (dollar value) will earn a bonus of $1000
for the school. Certificates are collected at the front of the store
(at the end of the register area) in the towers, the slot is labeled
Wappingers Jr. High School.

Honor Roll Breakfast
The Honor Roll Breakfast will be held on 12/5 for 8th graders & 12/6
for 7th graders. I need volunteers to help set up and clean up each day
& to be at the school @ 7:15am. We would also appreciate volunteers to
send in donuts, danish, breads & juice. Please contact
me to let me know what you would like to help with. Thank you.

on Dec. 6th and Dec. 19th. Participants will meet in room 141. You will
