Description:
The Walton County Community Traffic Safety Team. A volunteer citizen group that makes recommendations to the Florida Department of Transportation. The CTST is administered through the FDOT and has members from the FDOT, County, City and State governments as well as private business and residents.

CTST Members, Just wanted to drop a note to say thank you for your service and to update you on a few things. First; the Walton Commissioners have decided to meet the fourth Tuesday at 9:00 am in DeFuniak Springs. This is great for my day job, but not very good since this is the same time the CTST meets. If they continue this (and they are for now) I will not be able to attend. My wife, Barbara might be able to participate for me as she has been to meetings and stays up to date on what is going on. I am still willing to help, be a part of the team and even continue with the chairmanship, but I will have to do so with the support of others. Another option would be to change the date. I will put down some suggestions below and if the team wants to change dates, members will have to communicate to find a time when everyone can come.... more »

The FDOT provided our Team with some great items to give away and help educate the public about transportation safety. The focus this year was on Safe Ways to School. The CTST booth has been very successful this year. So successful, that we are all out of handouts!! Even with rationing each night. If you were volunteering to man the booth at any time today, it will not be necessary to make the trip. Thank you one and all for the help. Kevin Chilcutt

Need help at the fairgrounds each night Monday through Saturday, especially from 5pm until 7pm or 8pm. Next week is the Walton County Fair. Our emphasis is safeways to school.
