Dear Parents and Adult Students,
Thank you for joining us for another great year of Danish school.
This year has been special in so many ways. We have had more
students, almost 40, and more volunteers than ever before.
Everyone has contributed to the school and it’s been so much fun.
We hope you made good friends and will join us again next year!
(Please read registration info below)
LAST DAY OF SCHOOL
On Saturday, April 25th, we celebrate end of school with a
graduation for all our students, family and friends. Please come
and share this important day with us. There will be a hoppeborg,
kids activities (tombola), a clown, Danish food and drinks and all
students will receive their certificates. The schedule:
9:00 Breakfast as usual
9:30 classes start
10:30 classes end (adult students please confirm with teacher)
10:40 student presentations (PLEASE PRACTICE AT HOME THIS WEEK)
11:00 Q&A (possibly a guest speaker) and outside play for the kids
11:45 School ends
WHAT TO BRING
Please return any books, dvds, cd’s and Vis og Fortael belonging
to the school. Wear your Vikingeskolen T-shirt if you have one or
purchase one on Saturday. Bring your favorite Danish
food. Email us if you did not have a chance to sign-up at school.
PROGRAMS 09/10
Vikingeskolen anticipates offering the same classes next year:
Adults, 2-4s, 5-8s and 9+. 9+ possibly divided in two classes
due to size pending teacher availability. The majority of our
teachers will return next year, but we say goodbye to Helle,
who will return to Denmark, and Karoline, one of our founders,
who is moving to Washington DC. Thanks. We will miss you!
The format and prices will stay the same. We did an informal
survey of parents about moving classes to the 1-3PM timeslot,
a request we have received often due to conflicting kids activities,
however the morning folks still outnumber the other group.
YOUR CONTINUED SUPPORT – Submit Your Registrations for 09/10
As always knowing how many students to expect next year is
key for planning purposes. Please pick-up, sign and return your
re-enrollment package on last day of school or fill out the form
online on www.vikingeskolen.com. Payments are due upon
registration and no later than 8/28. School starts on 9/12. We
waive supply fees if you sign up for the year, and continue to
offer 50% or 100% discount on tuition when volunteering. It’s a
bargain and lots of fun!
