Merlin International has an immediate need for a Vignette Developer to
join its Professional Services Division. This person will be
responsible for supporting the development and maintenance of
enterprise portal applications for a Government customer using BEA Web
Logic and the Vignette suite of applications (VRD, VBCS/Workspaces).

This is a long-term customer facing position critical to project
success. This position will require employee to jointly refine
requirements, provide implementation guidance, migrate data into VBCS,
implement workspaces, develop and modify VBCS applications, customize
VBCS, and provide technical guidance and direction to a VBCS
knowledgeable customer. Excellent customer and technical skills are
required with a solid knowledge of VBCS capabilities and
implementation skills. Specific skills required: • 5-6 years of web
application development experience using - Java and J2EE constructs -
Sun Solaris 8 Unix and Windows 2000 environments - BEA Weblogic
Application Server (8.1) - SQL Server and Oracle (9i); Vignette 7.0
VBCS. • Candidate must possess good customer facing and communication
skills and a good understanding of the software development life
cycle. Should possess object oriented programming and implementation
skills. Preferred skills: • Experience working with Jython and Python
programming languages - web scripting language experience including
SHTML

Education: A Bachelor Degree is highly preferred
Clearance Requirement: Candidate MUST be eligible to obtain a DoD
Clearance (Active Secret Clearance is highly preferred)
