PARENTS....... PLEASE SEND IN THE STAFF APPRECIATION FORM BY THIS
FRIDAY!!!!! We really need to know who is bringing what so we can
make sure we have each category represented. So far, the staff's
sweet tooth will be very happy because we have gotten a wonderful
response from the parents on the teams which were asked to bring
desserts. I am gaining weight just reading the forms. Please feel
free to call me or email me the form.

Coordinator Staff and Teacher Appreciation Luncheon

The first week of May is National Teacher Appreciation Week, and
continuining in the Van Wyck tradition, the Parent Association is
planning a luncheon for the school staff. This event will be Friday,
May 16th, 2008 from 10:20 -2:00.
We have a large staff to serve, over 160 people, and we need your
help to make this luncheon a success. We want our teachers and staff
to know that we, the parents, appreciate them.
In order to have a wonderful variety of dishes to serve, we are
dividing the categories of food among the teams. We are asking
parents to make the dish listed beside their child’s team:

Team 6A - Dessert (Homemade, Please )
Team 6B - Vegetable Platter and Dip
Team 6C - Casserole
Team 6D – Brunch Dishes (quiches, egg dishes, Doughnuts, etc)
Team 6E - Rice Dish, or pasta
Team 6F – Baked Ham, or Brunch Dish

Team 7A - Rice Dish
Team 7B – Dessert (Homemade, Please )
Team 7C – Fruit Salad/Platter
Team 7D and 7E – Salads (Tossed, Tuna, Pasta, Etc.)

Team 8A – Pasta (Lasagna, Ziti, etc.)
Team 8B – Meatballs and/or Sausage
Team 8C – Fruit Salad/Platter
Team 8D and 8E – Salads (Tossed, Tuna, Pasta, etc.)

If you wish to send a special dish that doesn’t fit
the category of your child’s team, please feel free to do so. Please
fill out the form below and have your child return it to his/her
homeroom teacher by May 7, 2008. Many hands make the work light! Last
year was my first year coordinating this event and the staff
loved the day, let’s do it again this year!

Please bring the food to the main office/lobby between
7:30-9:30 a.m. on Friday, May 16th . A helper will be there to
receive the dish from you. Please try to put your food in a
disposable container. That will greatly help the clean up volunteers.
