1. Are you good at using computers and want to learn how to build
your own website? Then join the Webmaster and Computer Club! This
year's club will be much different than in the past; you will learn
how to design, install and customize your own website. The club starts
on Wed., October 1st and will meet after school every other Wednesday.

2. PREPARE FOR YOUR SCHOOL BASKETBALL TRYOUTS - 4 Day Basketball
Clinic

Fishkill Recreation will begin registration for a 4 day Basketball
Clinic for boys and girls in the 7th and 8th grade.

Registration will begin on Monday October 6, 2008 and it is open to
boys and girls in 7th & 8th grade.

The clinic will be held at Brinckerhoff Elementary School on
Saturdays, November 1, 8, 15, and 22 from 12:00 PM – 1:30 PM.

The clinic will be just prior to school tryouts. We will focus on
preparing players to tryout for their school team. Focus will be on
the fundamental skills of basketball that coaches will be looking at
when making his/her selections.

The clinic will utilize a combination of drills, demonstration, and
scrimmages, that will give players the opportunity to improve and
learn the game of basketball.

The cost is $50 per player. WE NEED A MINIMUM OF 15 PLAYERS TO RUN
THE PROGRAM.

4. All students interested in joining the Art of Literary Club,
please see Mrs. Perlman in room 120 or Ms. Genovese in room 123. If
you have any artwork or literary work you would like to submit to the
Literary Club for the "Reflections" magazine, please leave it with
Mrs. Perlman of Ms. Genovese.

5. School Store will be starting on Oct. 8th. It is a fun and
exciting way to get involved in your school. We will be selling school
supplies and items for all the holidays. We will be selling during all
lunch periods. The meetings will be on Wednesdays after school. Come
and join us. The permission slips are available in the main office,
guidance and the 6th grade computer lab. They need to be returned
before October 8th.

We also need parents to come and help out on selling days. The selling
hours are during all lunch periods. Lunches begin at 9:35 and ends at

6. There will be a Student Gov't meeting on Thursday, Oct. 2nd after
school in the cafeteria.

Remember, grade sheets are due by Friday, Oct. 3rd. You can pick one
up in the main office.
