Hey,
It looks like I will be coming over to Astricon in October, which I'm
excited about, especially meeting any of you who will be coming. For
those who haven't met the Digium people, they're a lot of fun and
you'll learn about the whole side of things you haven't seen.
For those who are able to bring spouses (I am not, it's too far and
she's busy speaking in Paris) I think this is a great idea but we need
to organize it. Someone needs to help coordinate this widows thing. I
think the gilrs will have fun and I'd love to meet them. I'm sure
they'll enjoy seeing the people you guys talk to weekly and realizing
that we really are human in spite of all appearances.
I'd also like to throw out an idea regarding music. Who plays
instruments among you? We have to have a big jam session one night
(and maybe Karaoke as well), some kind of musical event. Since I can't
bring a guitar and amp with me from France, and most of you won't be
able to eaither, I'd suggest we try to recruit a young band from
Phoenix and ask them to allow us to sit in after their set.
Anyone ready to second this?
