Subject: JOBS
Utah's Jobs for Utah's People
Outsourcing and the Perpetuation of Poverty in Utah

A few months ago it was in the news that the State of Utah has
outsourced the jobs for processing welfare application information to
workers in India. They went on to say that over 40,000 families in Utah
are on some form of welfare assistance.

I was disgusted when I heard this revelation for these reasons:

1. I think that people in Utah who desperately need those jobs should
have those jobs. The state must enact legislation banning outsourcing
to foreign countries, cancel these contracts and set up our own call
centers, employing welfare recipients to handle the calls.

2. YOUR TAX DOLLARS are being sent overseas and out of state to employ
overseas workers. This removes MILLIONS in income from our tax base
FOREVER instead of pumping up Utah's economy and allowing Utah's
unemployed the dignity of work. Almost all people would rather work
than take welfare handouts. In fact I am convinced that they would be
happy to put time in on honest jobs doing this type of work (the jobs
that were outsourced) in exchange for welfare help.

3. Government Outsourcing amounts to an attack on the poor and the
disabled in Utah, by the state of Utah. It has a tendency to perpetuate
and deepen poverty. I am disgusted that the State of Utah would be so
short sighted and stupid as to give our desperately needed jobs and tax
money to workers in India.

4. People applying for welfare usually don't have clue that the State
is or could send ALL or part of your personal information to India, or
elsewhere for that matter, and that these people could have access to
confidential state data bases. If or when you apply for Food Stamps
and/or Medicaid you have to give them your name, date of birth, Social
Security Number, phone number, bank account number and other sensitive
and personal information on the 10 page application. Utah is one of
only four states who require an asset test to determine if you should
get Medicaid. You have to give detailed information to the state
regarding this as well. With all the identity theft going on now in the
computer age, I am thoroughly outraged that your personal information
is no longer secure because of the stupidity of the State of Utah.

I want the State of Utah to stop this unethical outsourcing right now.
I want the State of Utah to give those jobs to people here in Utah who
need those jobs. I want the State of Utah to take immediate steps to
safeguard your private and sensitive personal information in their data
bases. The governor and the state legislature are responsible for the
people that manage Human Services and Workforce Services for the State
of Utah, and must take immediate action to stop this fiasco.

I know you don't want welfare, you want a job. You want your Identity
to be confidential and your personal information to be secure. Your
Right to Privacy has been violated, your right to work has been sold to
the lowest bidder, and your tax money has been hijacked by Globalists
who spit on your dignity. THIS MUST CHANGE NOW!

The following are related to the Jobs issue:

POSITION ON LEGAL IMMIGRATION:
This should be stopped during any period of war or terrorist threats.
Visas should be canceled. Refugees already in country should be sent to
outlying U.S. territories, NOT camps, and not the continental United
States. Legal non-citizens should be screened and investigated,
suspicious persons should be watched or deported. We should not create
prison camps the way we did during WWII.

POSITION ON ILLEGAL IMMIGRATION:
DUH.... This one is actually a no-brainer. Illegal non citizens should
be deported. There should be no Amnesty. This cheapens the citizenship
of all who have it and especially of those who earned it. The anti
terrorist dollar is best spent on closing our boarders and on
patrolling our coastlines. During wartime the border patrol should
shoot to kill. We should triple our efforts to round these people up,
regardless of the country of origin, and deport them. Not only do they
endanger national security, they lower our wage base by their mere
presence. This gives employers the incentive to hire cheap labor. Where
does that leave the U.S. citizen who needs work? You are now free to
work for slave wages or free to starve.

Subject: Re: JOBS

I favor a constitutional amendment restricting constitutional rights to
U.S. citizens.

POSITION ON OUTSOURCING:
Offshore Outsourcing is WRONG. U.S. companies should have a U.S. tax
obligation and a moral obligation to U.S. workers. Those that don't
hire U.S. workers or pay U.S. taxes should face penalties. It should be
illegal for our government(s) to outsource, especially when there are
millions of Americans who need work.
GET US OUT OF NAFTA & THE WTO!

POSITION ON GUEST WORKERS:
We actually don't need them. Some say we do need them as agricultural
workers and domestic servants. I can see this, because as a teenage
boy, I picked cherries and strawberries for money. Even back then most
of the people who did that kind of labor were migrant workers. This
does not need to be the case, as parents you have an obligation to
teach your children a work ethic. Teenagers and the unemployed should
be out there picking or mowing peoples lawns.
