I hope everyone is having a wonderful summer even though summer hasn't
officially begun.

I mentioned to those who came last Tuesday that there would be no
rehearsal on June 18. I am sending this out as a general notice to
confirm that fact.

We will be rehearsing on June 25 and as regularly as possible after
that. My idea is to work on worship enhancing music throughout the
summer with anyone who feels called to be a part of this mission. I
have chosen music which will work with any size group. I never have
liked the idea of simply taking a vacation from worship music in the
summer. I appreciate any support you can give me in this effort.
This is also an opportunity for anyone who might like to sing easy but
inspiring music with us occasionally. We will make a joyful noise:
it's my job to make the noise as palatable as possible. Polished
professionals need not apply, but they will be welcome if they will
sing for free and promise to blend in!

Thanks again to all of you for your kind support over nearly 26 years.

Gordy

P. S. I will also be out of town on Wednesday so I will miss the
Canterbury worship. I plan to finish an accompaniment CD tonight with
all of the songs in the blue large print hymn book we use for Grace
years.

God bless!

Great plan to make the accompaniment CD--any chance that copies will be available for purchase for our own "at home" enjoyment?

Sure!

Do you want a copy of the book as well? They are in lower keys to facilitate
"older" singers.

No, I don't believe I need the book--I'm trying to get rid of my excess and duplicate print stuff. Don't have any use for stacks of old Etude magazines, do you? They date back to about 1915 and continue on to the 50s--not complete sets, but good sightreading stuff. When I retired in 1994 I made one last pass through them, copied a very few that I didn't have elsewhere, and they've been sitting in my basement since. That's another issue, they've never been wet, but anyone that is sensitive to "old paper smell" might have a problem.
