Bob Hackl came through surgery well, going to recovery room about 11 a.m.  He is now in room 4148 at Carle.  Has a bunch of hardware in his back and not real comfortable -- and he has to get up and walk yet today.  Thanks for all  your prayers and well wishes, and please continue to hold us in your prayers; Bob for healing and me for patientce!      Mary Hackl - and girls

Thanks for reporting on his condition. I had been wondering about him.

 

I've been a patient on 4th floor and the staff seems very nice and I am sure he will get good care.

 

It is amazing that he will be walking today!

Dear Mary,
We've been concern about him. Glad to hear that the surgery went well.

Wish you'll get better, be patient with him,but make sure that he follows exactly the doctor's instruction(which I didn't do very well and needed Mike to be more restrict with me:-)) .

Hi Mary-Glad to hear that Bob is doing well after his surgery.  It is scarey to think about having back surgery, but I am so glad I had  it and I hope that Bob's recovery will go as well as mine has so far.  It was so much fun to have you and the Ricketts visit me at Barnes.  I really appreciated it.  Let me know if you are needing any "equipment".  A titanium twin--Diane Stensland
