Yes.
In the upper right corner, click Customize. (You may have to sign in.)
Then click the Settings tab.
Then click Permissions. (At the end of the list that starts "Basic
Publishing Formatting ...")
You (and only you) should be listed under Blog Authors. (If there are
others, delete them.)
Under Blog Readers, click the "Only blog authors" radio button.

You can have several blogs on blogger (many, actually!) with varying degrees
of privacy -- no visitors without invite, no comments allowed, not published
in blogger's lists, etc... You can have your private one & share what you
want with a more public one :)

I too have been motivated to start a blog but would like to keep mine private.
I created one but haven't started it yet until I learn more about the settings.
Is there an easy way to keep it private? Is it possible to have a blog and
keep some posts private. I registered at blogger but would use another

-=-I did do a slideshow type thing through photobucket I managed to
get over - again I had no control over where I put it - so thanks for
the tip Sandra on how to use the code in the post to do it.-=-
Next time when the slideshow (or sound file, or whatever) gives you
a code to paste, just paste it into the new post or edit a post area.

Thanks guys. I had not noticed the add a picture option in the blog post. I
knew there was a way to do it. I am so excited. I will be adding pictures as
we go.

I did do a slideshow type thing through photobucket I managed to get over -

blogger to put his cartoons up, and I suggested that to him, because
I noticed the other day that any pictures loaded directly into

When I add pictures, I add them in my posts. I think that is the only
way to do it in blogger. There is an icon you click to add a photo
right above where your post box is, in the same place that you can
change your font and such.

Hey. You guys got me to try on this blog thing for size and I am so happy
you guys did. It has become a sort of online journal for me. I started it with
expectations and ideas that it would be a place to record all we do with
unschooling but it has evolved into much more. I do put in about things we do

As I was gathering I figured they should go somewhere, so that was my
thought but if you'd like to have them for your site that'd be great :-)
I started gathering just brushing ideas to try and realized it was
getting into the whole thought process of honoring a child. Bedtimes
would be a good one to gather too.

Toothpicks and handkerchiefs (finger through cloth, on a washcloth or
a handkerchief) are traditional in many places (and were here at one
time).
Germs on toothbrushes.... the same bacteria we're supposed to avoid,
probably... I know I can use a toothbrush for a year, but I won't

I love the Learn Nothing Day idea, so told dd & ds (6 and 9) about it.
They thought it was a little strange, perhaps not quite getting the
irony. So later dd was writing sentences (she doesn't read so I tell
her how to spell whatever she wants to write.) I said, jokingly, "Now,

This is something I gathered for the No More Spanking list and
thought I'd share it.
This is *not* about ways to get kids to brush teeth. It isn't even
solutions to the problem of getting kids to brush teeth. What it is,
is how parents who practice mindful parenting and respecting their
kids go about finding ways to help their kids have clean teeth.
