Dear Runner,
 The Carolina Godiva Track Club is pleased to announce that registration is
now open for the *3rd Annual Umstead Trail Marathon

which will be held on Saturday, March 11, 2006 in the William B. Umstead
State Park in Raleigh, North Carolina.
 We have opened the race up to 200 runners this year, but we still expect
the field to fill quickly. So don't delay! Registration for 2006 is
restricted to online sign-up only, which is through

*Race Information*

   - Saturday, March 11, 2005. 9:00 a.m.
   - $45 entry (before Jan. 13)
   - Course: hilly and mostly confined to the park's wide, sand and dirt
   bridle trails, but with some rocky, rooty single-track trail sections
   - NO headphones, baby joggers, or pets
   - No refunds or transfers; no waitlist
   - No day-of-race registration
   - Time cut-offs will be based on a maximum 6-hour finishing time.

*What you get with your entry*

   - 26.2 miles of beautiful trail, plenty of hills, and passing
   discomfort followed by an abiding sense of accomplishment
   - The coolest CoolMax race T-shirt you will ever own
   - Goody Bag to beat all goody bags
   - Distinctive Finisher's Pint Glass (note to medal-collectors: we
   offer pint glasses in place of medals!)
