Thanks for all who came last night. It was fun.

Notes

I’ve posted the PPT to the UX group:

      http://tech.groups.yahoo.com/group/ux-mentoring/files/

If you don’t have access, just let me know and I’ll get you on the
list. I’m going to resend the invitations, if you’re already a member
of the group just ignore it.

Test Site

We have agreed to use the Canada Helps (http://www.canadahelps.org/)
charity web site for our testing.

Christine Gullage used to work there and has graciously volunteered to
see if we can present our results to that group. This gives the
assignment that reality that will really make our results worthwhile.
Thanks, Christine!

Christine will also see if we can get some background documentation on
the site’s users and purpose. If this is not possible, that’s ok,
because it should be pretty easy to reverse-engineer that information.

Assignments

Next assignment… this is where we really get engaged!

• Test Plan – review the Canada Helps website and do the following:
  • Reverse-engineer site goals and target users
  • Create a plan to test the effectiveness of the site against these
goals and users

• Find Test Subject – find at least one test subject who you can
convince to spend an hour at Klick reviewing the Canada Helps
website.

Hello,

My name is Veronica. I'm a student studying CS at UofT, and I'm doing
an IA internship at the moment. Recently stumbled onto this group, and
I was wondering if I can join in on the next session.

Thanks!
