I have whipped up a few examples to show my 'random sample hold
filter' trick in action. For information about how to create such
filters, see my posting from the other day. If there is sufficient
interest in this technique, I will flesh out the web page and make it
public (currently there isn't any link to this page).
Let me know if you think these examples merit public posting.

This is neat! I'd like to see this as a public page!
Thanks. Here is another tip.
Once you have your random sample/hold audio file created by using the Harmonize effect, you can create variations easily in the Spectrum Synth. Here is the synopsis:
1) Open your random sample hold audio
2) In the Spectrum Room set the parameters so that you will have 32 or 64 events
3) Click Auto Build sequence
4) Now you can use the randomize button to create new randomizations.
You can use the interpolation mode to your advantage. The Attack modes will give you silence between the beats if you want it. Use Slow if you want each event's note to bleed into the following event's
5) Render the audio and then go back to the Image Filter and create a new filter by analyzing the new audio to the canvas.
Best,
E

Yeah, they do.
If you design a stomp box that does what your filter does for your
guitar you'll make a killing.
Also, when you 'line up' the sample editor in the spectrum synth like
in your other tip, it would be cool to have the cursor showing in both
screens moving together. Just a thought.
