You guys! It's the official end of Ultimate Blogger!!!!

The last video from our illustrious hosts was eagerly awaited by
thousands of Ultimate Blogger fans last night. This morning, we finally
had what we'd been waiting for, and our hosts proved once again that
they had more tricks up their sleeves: this time, the video was a
"live" finale, complete with studio audience! It was great to see
real-life fans gathering together to bring the online community into
the "real" world. Did you see us in the crowd?

We're sure you've heard the big news by now: James has been crowned The
Ultimate Blogger!

James posted a little bit of an acceptance speech in a comment in which
he told everyone that he wants to share the title with Lyova.  (The
vote was awfully close anyway: James won 6-5. And no, we don't entirely
understand that math either).

Here's what James had to say:
"I just want to make it clear, though, that i am excepting this as
stalin, the lines between james and lyova are thin and blurry. each
word, chat, email, post, picture, film... was done side-by-side... i
could have never made it this far on my own."

CONGRATULATIONS, JAMES AND LYOVA!!! (You are both Ultimate Bloggers in
our eyes).

It hardly seems possible, after these deliciously long but sadly short
weeks, that we're finally here.

We don't know about you, but we've got a lot of mixed-up feelings about
the end of Ultimate Blogger. The fantastically talented group of
blogger- contestants, the unexpected strategies and betrayals, the wild
twists and turns of the game itself, and of course, the looming power
of STALIN always behind the scenes made this contest completely
addictive and unpredictable. It's been such an amazing ride. We're
heartbroken to see it end, but on the other hand it ended so perfectly
(and before it got at all boring), that the end feels right.

We know that season 2 will be even more amazing than season 1, though
we couldn't possibly hope for better contestants.

A heartfelt thank you to everybody who made this such a fabulous
adventure.
