Tomorrow night, May 3rd, the Lyric Opera of Kansas City will present
the world premire of a new opera entitled John Brown, about
everybody's favorite ante-bellum pot-stir-er. http://www.kcopera.org/OurSeason/johnbrown.html
My band has been hired to play period music on the front lawn of the
Lyric for a couple of hours before hand. We also get tickets to the
show. Not your run-of-the-mill gig!

Well done! Those types of jobs are always enjoyable, and the listeners
tend to be very appreciative.
