Hello Everyone! We have lots of things happening here at the theatre
so make sure you check out the entire e-mail!
This is your last chance to see the spine tingling thriller "The
Innocents". This is a great show with wonderful actors led by the
outstanding direction of Mary Ann Jameson. The last two shows will be
this Friday and Saturday, October 12 & 13, at 8 p.m. A synopsis of the
show is below.
A story of unspeakable horror, it begins when a young governess
arrives at an English estate to oversee two precocious, orphaned
youngsters. There's also a motherly cook. But these four aren't
alone. They're haunted by fears and phantoms and ghastly shadows.
The governess and cook are terrified, but the children seem to welcome
the visitations. The governess learns that the spirits are those of
the former caretaker and former governess,
who together corrupted the souls of the innocents. In a final scene,
full of fear and terror, the evil and the innocents become
inseparable.
Our Rising Stars theatre will be producing William Shakespeare's A
Midsummer Night's Dream in our Emma's Attic. They will then be taking
the show to the Florida Theatre Conference in Lakeland. Come by and
see them and wish them well in their travels! A Midsummer Night's
Dream opens October 19 and runs until October 27. Tickets are $10 for
adults and $7 for students. Show times are 7:30 p.m. Friday and
Saturday and 2 p.m. on Sunday.
Rising Stars will also be auditioning for their next Mainstage
production, the Holiday Fairytale "The Nutcracker". Audition dates
will be Monday, October 22 and Tuesday, October 23 from 5pm to 7pm. We
are looking for 20 actors under 18 years old. This production is a
play not a ballet. The Nutcracker is filled with favorite characters
like the Sugar Plum Fairy, snowflakes, candy canes, the Rat King and
of course the Nutcracker. Show dates will be Dec.14, 15 and 16.
Rehearsals will run about six weeks.
Finally, we will be holding auditions for An Old Fashion Hometown
Christmas; The Holy One. Audition dates are October 15 and 16 at
6:30pm at the Emma Parrish Theatre. Rehearsals will begin on Sunday,
October 21 at 1:30 pm at the First Presbyterian Church 1235 S. Park
Ave, Titusville. Music Director Barbara McGillicuddy and Director Mary
Purdy have put together a glorious recounting of the ageless story of
Christmas. With the use of music and biblical references, once again
the story re-emerges into the beloved birth of Jesus through this
truly heart-felt production. It is our intention to use our many
talented hometown folks to bring forth this memorable show. Show dates
for An Old Fashion Hometown Christmas will be Dec 21, 22 and 23 at the
Emma Parrish Theatre, 301 Julia St. Titusville.
See you at the theatre!
