jpeg of the error so I don't introduce a typo.

Not sure what the error is telling me, but I thought you should know
about it.

I get exactly the same error when trying to import from a local file.

Component returned failure code: 0x804b0012
[nsIXMLHttpRequest.open]"nsresult:"0x804b0012(<unknown>)"location:"JSframe::
file:///c:/My%20Software/index.htm::loadRemoteFile::line4980""
data:no]

Importing from http works fine

I should have noted that I am using Firefox 1.5.0.5 and I didn't try
this with IE yet.

I'm really not paying attention.

I should have noted this is with importing from a local file to a local
file. Importing from a web based file to a local file works fine.

For me importTiddlers works fine in beta 3 with tiddlywiki located either on the web or on local file.

Are you using an empty TiddlyWiki 2.1 Beta 3 ?
Have you some plugins installed in your file ?

I just tried it with Beta 4 using the empty core build 528 and with
both the empty tiddlywiki and the source tiddliwiki (also at Beta 4) in
a local directory (c:\temp), I get that same error.

Again using forefox 1.5.0.5 in WindowsXP Pro SP2.

works fine using a local file to import from a web based tiddliwiki.

Ok I can reproduce the problem and found why. I'll submit a bug report latter. For now just add "file:///" in front of your local path and it should work.

Cheers,

BidiX: did you summit a bug report for this? What is the ticket number?

No, I only post the submission here: http://groups.google.com/group/TiddlyWikiDev/browse_thread/thread/1c0b9045466b5930

Should I have posted a bug report in Trac.TiddlyWiki.org ?

Actually I don't know if you could since adding tickets now requires registration and I don't know if you are registered. I just wanted to be sure I don't add a duplicate.

Nevertheless: here the ticket for this issue: http://trac.tiddlywiki.org/tiddlywiki/ticket/143

This was fixed in changeset:350; I didn't create a ticket for it (thanks Udo!)

Anyone is welcome to post bug reports on tiddlywiki.org. Due to spam,
though, you need to drop me an email with the Trac username you've
registered and I can give the necessary permissions.

Cheers

Jeremy
