Question regarding slices

Hi there.

I noticed that slices do not work if the slice name is linked with
[[ ]] brackets.

So if I have a tiddler "Test" with slice "|[[foo]]|bar|" it doesn't
work. Neither does [[foo]]:bar work.

Is there a workaround I could implement?

I'm afraid there doesn't seem to be any simple workaround.
You could try Lyall's ImprovedSlicesPlugin though:
