24 CFR Part 11 requires electronic systems possess "the ability to
discern invalid or altered records" and "secure, computer-generated,
time-stamped audit trails to independently record the date and time of
operator entries and actions that create, modify, or delete electronic
records" which do not "obscure previously recorded information".

Does TiddlyWiki possess these abilities?

Also, can TiddlyWiki require a username and password before entering/
altering information?

Hi, Simon.
Thanks for the reply. To which part does the "No" refer?

I would imagine that one of the server-side implementations - e.g.
ccTiddly - can deliver both:

Conceptually TiddlyWiki is more like a document. So think of it the same was you would a word .doc file. You would need to do auditing and document management on it, not with it.

(Insert some kind of 'In soviet russia' joke here..?)

Hi,

I have never looked at ccTiddly with 24 CFR 11 compliance in mind but
suspect ccTiddly will comply in most parts.

You get a login and permissions model. You will need to ensure no
users have permissions to delete tiddlers.

You can try out ccTiddly at

http://wiki.osmosoft.com/alpha/ (please note this is only an example
implementation and should not be used to store real data. )

and find out more information on the wiki :

I hope this helps.

Thanks

Simon

I don't know if this makes a difference, by I just realized I made a
typo. The regulation is *21* CFR 11, not *24* CFR 11. My bad.

I am speculating here, but SharedRecords.org but might be able to
offer that kind of storage and auditing.
If that proves to be true, you should be able to use TiddlyWiki as a
front-end to it. There has been some work done in this area.
(SharedRecords and TiddlyWiki integration)

I guess it also depends on whether you wanted to use TiddlyWiki for
the front-end UI, or for document based storage.
