After I switched to TW 2.4.1 I get an error message in using
ExternalTiddlersPlugin with including info tiddlers.

For example, when implementing a tiddler (eg.
ExternalTiddlersPluginInfo) containing the singe line
"<<tiddler "http://www.TiddlyTools.com/#ExternalTiddlersPluginInfo
ExternalTiddlersPluginInfo">>" I either get the java script error
message "Type Error: w.tiddler has no properties" or my tiddler is
displayed showing the tiddler title only.

Anybody any idea?
Thanx to all for support.

Could you provide a simple demo* so we can investigate this?

In the meantime I was fiddling along
An internet version of a shortened version is available on http://d95.com/TestTW241

Calling this TW with DefaultTiddler [[DatePluginInfo]] referring to
the associated tiddler in www.tiddlytools.com opens an error message:
"Cannot access http://TiddlyTools.com. Calling XMLHttpRequest.open is
rejected." - And the tiddler is displayed on with title.

Calling my TW from my local disk shows no Access-Refused-message; but
the mentioned w.tiddler missing property message.

Cheers Michael

There are 156(!) active plugins in that file.
That is not a minimal testcase as described on the page I'd linked to
before.

When working with an *online* document, unsigned scripts (such as
TiddlyWiki) can only use XMLHttpRequest to read external documents
that are hosted on the same domain. This is known as the "same domain
policy".

One workaround is to use a proxy script that can makes it appear that
you are requesting a locally hosted file, even if the actual URL is on
a different domain. TiddlySpot.com has a such a proxy script
installed for documents hosted on that service.

This sounds more like a real bug... please send me a ZIP-compressed
copy of your document so I can take a look.

I added the ExternalTiddlersPlugin and a reference to Eric's tiddler
ExternalTiddlersPluginInfo to a plain vanilla TW 2.4.1 - the TW
behaves as Eric had described:

XMLHttpRequest error msg for internet located file (http://d95.com/
TestTW241), no error msg for local stored file; Eric's tiddler
ExternalTiddlersPluginInfo is displayed properly in my test TW.
And NO w.tiddler missing property message for the local one.

Therefore something other propably may interferes with
ExternalTiddlersPlugin in my TW after the change to TW 2.4.1.
Is there any chance to know the object the variable w refers?
