slices inside <data> </data> chunks?

I'm guessing this may not be possible, but is there any chance of
tweaking something somewhere to be able to retrieve a slice that is
entered inside a text box in a formTiddler and therefore present in
the tiddler between the <data> </data> chunks?

I just tried it and it "sort of" works except it also retrieves any
text after the real slice value up to and including the "</data>"
thingie.
