Hi all,

tiddlyspot.com is down at the moment. No saves, no new sites. You
can still see your sites and download them, so if you want to keep
editing, download and save your changes locally while we sort out the
problem.

Cheers

Thanks to commenters on YouTube, we now know this is not true.

Is this why I get a red "Error in macro <<upload>>" in the right
column of my local mGTD that (I think) I just set up for tiddlyspot?
Just under "save changes".

Thank you!

probably not.

click on the red "error in macro..." message. A popup will appear with
more specific details about the error.

If the error is "no such macro", then perhaps you've just forgotten to
save-and-reload after installing the UploadPlugin?

Reminder: plugins are loaded during document startup, so they aren't
actually available for use until you you save and reload your
document.

Hmmm... this is getting a little complex. Let me explain:

The reason I got the very error message you suggest is because, on
http://tspotsetupplugin.tiddlyspot.com/
clicking on the UploadPlugin apparently actually loads another(!)
tiddler, namely the PasswordOptionPlugin. I assume this is some kind
of mistake and this is what misled me. (Or I misunderstand something.
Not unlikely.)

...however, looking up and installing an actual UploadPlugin (from
tiddlywiki.bidix.info) apparently also causes problems:

"Problems were encountered loading plugins. See PluginManager for
details"

- looking it up, it says, for the UploadPlugin, that there is a
problem with the PasswordOptionPlugin! Ok, apparently this latter one
is necessary after all, so I install it (again from
tiddlywiki.bidix.info).

Save, reload -> error messages in the pluginManager again, but this
time it says:

"Error: TypeError: dst has no properties" for both the UploadPlugin
and the PasswordOptionPlugin

...and this is where I'm at right now.

(BTW, I do all plug-installing manually, for some reason or another,
i.e copy-pasting and adding the configSystem tag. I mention it just to
make sure that no additional tags are necessary - right?)

My sincerest thanks!

The UploadPlugin on tspotsetupplugin is actually a combination of
PasswordOptionPlugin AND UploadPlugin, in one tiddler.

Ok, so am I getting this right;

To upload my mGTD 2.1 alpha r91 (that I understand uses TiddlyWiki
v2.1.3) to Tiddlyspot, I should only install:

* version 1.0.2 (!) UploadPlugin found at http://tspotsetupplugin.tiddlyspot.com/
(i.e not any other version such as the 4.1 version from
tiddlywiki.bidix.info)
and
* TspotSetupPlugin (also found at http://tspotsetupplugin.tiddlyspot.com/)

- i.e only these two tiddlers, correct?

Oh, and will Mr Baird announce it here when Tiddslyspot is up again?
(Or can I see this on http://tspotsetupplugin.tiddlyspot.com/? Where
in that case?)

O boy, I understand this is a piece of cake for you guys, but for a
mere mortal like me... ;-)
My sincerest thanks for your help.

Back up! Tiddlyspot's big-USB-stick-in-the-sky is plugged back in and
the blue light is flashing.

Any problems you experience from now on are new -- please report them
to sup...@tiddlyspot.com :)
