Subject: Linking to local files
I have looked for methods of linking to local files from TW but have
had no success at all, and wonder if anyone can help. I entered [[Name
of the document|C:\folder\myfile.doc]] and got the message 'Firefox
doesn't know how to open this address, because the protocol (c) isn't
associated with any program' - I am using firefox version 2.0.0.6 .

Do I need to install a plugin or extension to make this work in
Firefox?

I tried this in IE 6.0.29 - didn't get the message but clicking on the
link did nothing (Literally no response to a click)???

I would be SO useful to get this working but I have not seen a
definitive method described anywhere.

I am a new user of Tiddlywiki but not an IT expert, so maybe I'm
missing something fundamental.

Any help would be gratefully received.

Thanks
