Just wondering if TiddlyWiki works on the Nokia E70 (http://
www.nokia.com.au/nokia/0,,85393,00.html#) or the Apple iPhone (http://
www.apple.com/iphone/)

The reason I ask is that I currently use an app called HandySafe on my
aging Sony Ericsson P900 but this does not work in Linux so I am
looking for something that is more platform neutral :-)

Whilst I cannot have an iPhone in Australia yet, the iPhone and E70
are my two current phones of choice, as long as I can make my p900
last :-)

A tiddlyspot user reported that they could edit their
tiddlyspot-hosted TiddlyWiki from their iPhone.

There's a weird failure when they try to edit a password-protected
site though (at tiddlyspot you can switch on http auth so you need a
username & password to view the site). But without the http auth,
it's all good.

I don't know about the E70; I hope it's ok, coz after reading this
(not-suitable-for-kids) recommendation:
http://www.thebestpageintheuniverse.net/c.cgi?u=iphone
..I'm thinking of getting one myself.

Let me know if you see any good deals for an unlocked E70 (or prepaid
on optus, I'm already with them).

Cheers
;Daniel

Well, no plans to buy just yet.
When the iPhone becomes available in Australia, that is when I will
make the decision.
I guess, by that time, there will be a newer model of E70 - the reason
I like the E70 is the keyboard - which is strange, because the iPhone
has none at all!
When I do buy, I will probably buy the phone outright.

Oh yeah, I have seen that rant^h^h^h^hrecommendation before, I think
it was digg.com where I found it in the first place.

I got a chance to play with an iPhone for 5 minutes and can confirm
that browsing tiddlywiki.com works well and is pretty cool. The
double-click zoom works (some of the time), and things open and close
as expected. Performance is poor (we're responding by stripping back
the core to make it easier to produce a lightweight TW core), and I
think it cries out for a iPhone-like single page mode...

Cheers

Jeremy.
