you are off-line or need it while you are 'computering' something

SidebarPluginVault is a sidebar adaptation of TiddlyVault. It is a one-
click load into your Firefox sidebar so you don't have to leave what

It has Eric Shulman's excellent Import Plugin that allows selection
for importing by selected date so you can keep your personal

yourself directly from TiddlyVault to preserve your notes and status..

Does this get updated as new plugins get added? There were some

It was actually updated here before it was there :-)
If you think otherwise you probably looked at a copy that was four or
five minutes old. Besides if you read the fine print the onus is on
the user to keep it up-dated :-)
And that's as it should be. Unfortunately, as yet, there is no
satisfactory system for keeping plugin information up-to-date. As I
said, it is one of the longest running issues. Plugin repositories
can be sad, lonely out of date places.
As Eric said; his plugins are updated often, quite often. In fact
there is no way that a centralised plugin directory can be kept up to
date unless it only points to the author's own repository.
Why don't we button-up this issue once and for all.
Have a central location that only points to the author's repository;
designed in such a way that it requires little maintenance other than
updating the pointers as new things are added and even then should
require little effort on the part of the author and maintenance free
to anyone else.
Of course there is certain standardisation in format that must be
adhered to but that is simple. To try to maintain links to plugins
that are unmaintained one-offs, or to authors that have lost interest,
should be left to the hobbyists that collect odd-ball things. There
are many opportunities in this area for the clever and dedicated.
Meanwhile, the manually intensive sites such as TiddlyVault, and the
more modern, compressible, portable and exquisitely-designed and
easily updated sites such as http://sidebarpluginvault.tiddlyspot.com
will have to await a more reliable location to be updated against :-)
Don't forget to click « Load to see http://sidebarpluginvault.tiddlyspot.com
in its trim, taut, and terrific 'demenure' in your 'little on the
side' sidebar.
It might not be perfect; but, it is yours..

Could you please do something about the colors... they are just not
readable...
The footer is a good example for readability... the rest - I'm afraid
- isn't.
To me http://sidebarpluginvault.tiddlyspot.com looks like this...

It's important to know what browser and system are you using?
I could not duplicate what you presented in either IE or FF.

However I did modify some code for visited link background colors that
may have been the problem. Please understand I am working blind since

I guess the answer sounds a bit like this:
Don't look at http://sidebarpluginvault.tiddlyspot.com with a browser
that doesn't support sidebars ...such as ie (or avant for that
matter). Looks just fine in Firefox ;-)
Sorry... even though, I kind of had a similar issue with my
tiddlywiki. At times css is differently interpreted in ie compared to
firefox, e.g. when you have multiple classes throughout your css
boxmodel... you might need to be very specific with your definitions
for your browser to acually apply the style, such as:
.class .nestedclass class1.class2 #id {someStyle:thisWay;}
"Debugging" css can sometimes be quite annoying, I mean... complex.

Looks like WindowsUpdate in Germany is a bit behind with IE releases.
Interesting to find out that somewhere hidden in ie is a rather
unintuitive, if not weird functionality to get a sidebar.

What I have found is a .viewer .button in StyleSheet with a color of
#009 (I have since removed) which may have been being rendered in your
system in preference to the .tuduSlider .button in CustomCSS.
Since I see no change if you would be so kind as to check it again
without your modifications I would appreciate it.

I can't see any changes... I guess it's really about adding some css.
Looking at the colors you use, you might want to add these white
button texts:
.viewer .tuduSlider .button {color:#fff};
.viewer .tabset .tabSelected {color:#fff};
...into the StyleSheet tiddler...or wherever you put your sidebarvault-
css definitions.

Thanks for all your effort Tobias but the changes you suggest mucks up
the hover colors in FF and no change in IE. The bottom line is that
it looks all right (identical in fact) in the latest versions that I
can get of both IE and FF. I can't really fix something I can't see
so I think the changes you suggest should be made for your copy only.
Unless someone else takes an interest and can add to the issue I think
we might leave it the way it is.
