PrettyDatesPlugin
YourName, 4 minutes ago (created 1 hour ago)

Adds a new date format 'pppp' which means 'pretty date'. Inspired/ripped off from John (jQuery) Resig.

Interesting date formatting extension! Though I'm not to sure about
the plugin name, "PrettyDatesPlugin"... at first glance (before I read
further), I thought your message was yet another porno-spam from
India!

Besides, I'd rather date someone who's smart, funny, caring, and
interesting even if they aren't all that pretty.

I suggest "SmartDatesPlugin"... that way, even the silly connotation
evoked above is avoided!

Hah - indeed!

How about something like "RelativeDatesPlugin" - because that's
essentially what you get, isn't it? (Of course "SmartDatesPlugin" sounds
much more appealing... )

This is awesome. I've always said that almost any time I see a date,
what I *actually* want is to know how long ago it was.

And clearly SexyDatesPlugin is the only choice for a new name.

;D

Thanks to commenters on YouTube, we now know this is not true.

Dating your relatives is not a good idea... :-)

Quite honestly, I personally prefer absolute timestamps (in UTC!).

Speaking of that - "RelativeTimestampsPlugin" might be a more accurate
(and more innocent) name...

Hah - that's a cruel, yet clever twisting of my words...

I'm with Eric here:

Now, if only a smart female would reciprocate... ;)

SexyDatesPlugin will surely bring many new users to discover the joys
of spending a night engaging in some hot TiddlyWiking.

"The other day I found this little TW with the sweetest set of
templates. Didn't take long and she was riding on my hard drive. Then
we got freaky with a little FET action. Oh man, the things I made her
do! I tweaked her all night long, till she satisfied me in every way.
Dude, you get a chance you got to check her out. Let me send you her
URL."

Very nice. How about LastUpdatedPlugin?

Things look wierd with 1 weeks or 1 months ago. Probably an option or
two for 'Last week' and 'Last month'

A good idea. Though I've made it "a month ago" since early in the month, "last month" would imply a date of just a few days ago which would be misleading. Same for week.

But it would be easy enough to write this plugin to correctly call things last month, last week etc.
