This is probably a really stupid question...

Given a TW at the URL protocol://hostname, and given that there's a
tiddler entitled "tiddler-name" inside the TW, what is the URL for
that tiddler?

The obvious protocol://hostname#tiddler-name doesn't seem to work, and
I'm not sufficiently imaginitive to think of any other plausible
possibilities.

That's almost right - the syntax is
http://www.tiddlywiki.com/#DownloadSoftware. If you click on the
'permalink' button at the top of a tiddler then the address bar gets
automatically filled with the URL of that tiddler. You can also use
the 'permaview' button on the right hand side to create a URL that
encapsulates all of the currently displayed tiddlers in the correct
order.

Cheers

Jeremy

You need a slash between the hostname and the #tiddlername parts of the
URL:
protocol://hostname/#tiddlername
(for example: http://www.TiddlyTools.com/#About)

The easiest way to construct a tiddler-specific URL is to view the
desired tiddler, and then press the "permalink" toolbar command for
that tiddler. This will automatically add the appropriate #tiddlername
to the current document URL. Then, just copy/paste the URL into your
content.

Note: if you want to create a URL that opens several specified
tiddlers, use the "permaview" command (normally found in the right-hand
sidebar).

So that's what "permaview" does. I've never understood it before.

Thanks very much.
