(For demonstration purposes, I've uploaded an example to

http://www.geocities.com/shadowolf3400/calendartest.html)

The "next year" button on the yearly calendar is severely broken. I
created a tiddler with the <<calendar 2008>> macro, and when I click
on the ">" next to the year, it gives me a calendar for the year
20081. (Chances are, we won't still be using Gregorian by then
anyway...) You can see the test wiki at the page above - the yearly
calendar tiddler (CalendarTest) is at the top (takes several seconds
to create, though).

Additionally, I have a problem with the entry generation. According to
a comment on this group back in October, the plugin is supposed to get
the format for new entries from the newJournal macro in
SidebarOptions. This does not appear to work - the standard macro
generates entries with the title "17 February 2008" and the tag
"journal", and the CalendarPlugin generates "17/02/2008" with no tag.

It may be important to note that my browser is Firefox 2.0.0.12.

Good catch...

Up until now, this feature (getting the format from the <<newJournal>>
command in SideBarOptions) was only available if you had also
installed
http://www.TiddlyTools.com/#DatePlugin
which provides an enhanced date display that includes popups showing
all tiddler changes, new tiddlers, date-tagged tiddlers, and reminders
(if ReminderMacros is installed) for each date.

With regard to the 'journal' TAG: regardless of whether you are using
just CalendarPlugin or have also installed DatePlugin, the calendar
entries only provide links that DISPLAY the journal tiddlers... they
do NOT actually CREATE any journal tiddlers on their own and therefore
*cannot* automatically add the 'journal' tag to those tiddlers when
they are displayed.

Aside from this tagging issue, the other two problems you noted have
now been FIXED:

* the year after 2008 is now 2009, not 20081
* CalendarPlugin now also uses the format from the <<newJournal>>
command, even when operating 'stand-alone' (i.e., when DatePlugin is
NOT installed).

You can get the update (2008-02-17) here:
