I rode my TF and my wife rode a car to the same destination today
about 10 miles away. We both had to make 1 quick stop along the way.
My wife left 5 minutes before me. Guess who arrived first?
I arrived 5 minutes before her. My average speed was 19 MPH. When she
stopped she had to park while I walked the bike right in with me which
saved a lot of time.
I called her from the final destination and told her where I was
holding a parking spot for her.

On a regular bicycle, I find that for trips of about 3-4 miles or less
the bike saves time due to parking issues, etc. Bike and car are about
equivalent up to around 6 miles.

On my hybrid ebike ( slower than the TF with a top speed of 20 mph) I
find it faster to ebike than drive up to about 6 miles. And about the
same up to 10-12 miles.

So adding the e to bike nearly doubles (,or in the case of a TF, more
than doubles,) the easy travel distances of a bicycle.

On this route there are lots of traffic lights and the cars pile up at
each one. I can almost always pass them. There are also long hills
with no room on the side of the road making it dangerous to ride up on
a slow non-ebike, but fine for a powerful climbing ebike.

Great point, Joe, and one we rarely address here. It is SO sweet to be
able to quickly accelerate out of these high risk zones to get out of
harm's way ASAP.

Glad to hear you're enjoying those lipos!

The lipos are still good as new.
