A new model from "Stealth Electric Bikes".

I wish there was a US importer.

A two speed bike? I think I'd need a little more gear range than that!

The "Fighter" weighs 35 kg (77 lb):

The 4990 $AUD price converts to just over 4000 $US.

There is a chance there will be a USA distributor.

Nice to see there is no derailleur to mess with.

As messy as dreaileurs can be now and then I'd MUCH rather have the
gears! Perhaps it has so much pwoer that a dreaileur would be
problematic. The Opti seems to be pushing the limits of chain/
dreaileur at 800 watts.

This "stealth" is a rear hub motor bike so no worries about the
electric power straining the gears/chain/deraillers/etc. As there us
on the 800w opti. No excuse for stealth not to have any gears, unless
you're not really expected to pedal seriously.

Best,
Joe (mobile)

In case I wasn't clear, I agree with Uncle Al that I'd prefer having
gears.

Joe-, It does have gear, uh, er, 2 of them in BB. It can go 19-22
miles, and top speed is 28mph! This all looks pretty good if you are a
flatlander...maybe from Florida. But then, the "fighter" looks may
not fit the demographics of retirement homes.

The battery in the mid frame is a +, but no specs. Hummm.

The ES post shows the original Stealth Bomer, the flagship bike, and
speced it at 50-57kg >> 110-125lb.

More like a Lead Bomber.

For those who want the derailleur and extra gears, it an an available
option: "Transmission: 2 speed internal BB. 16 speed available with
the addition of a deraileur."

Nice battery compartment (on the Bomber model for its 72V 20Ah LiPo's,
similar on the Fighter model):

I wish the Optibike had a similar arrangement.

D,
If I was a flatlander I wouldn't need electric ;-)

Strictly personal preference but I'm not a big fan of the boxy robotic
rivet look. Color me indifferent on this one; much better offerings
right here in the States IMO.
