Dear Chronopouli:
Just a short one this time. Here we go!
* Mile High Fan
The secret life of Parthenon Huxley 1989-1993 is now up for
examination.
I'm referring to Mile High Fan, of course, the "sophomore" album
that never came out. Well, never is over. Mile High Fan is pretty
cool: fifteen songs inspired by the tumultuous goings on as I bounced
from Chapel Hill, NC to Los Angeles by way of New York in the late 80s
and early 90s. I wrote it all down and recorded it at MCA
Publishing's full-service studio. In fact, it was my paid profession
to do so. What a nice job that was.
The album package is a real beauty, thanks to Kristen Spilman, who
designed it for me. There's tons of info and liner notes and
pictures. I hope you'll check it out and pick up a copy or six.
The musicianship isn't bad, either. I think everyone will
particularly enjoy the insane guitar work of my pal Rusty, who used to
be in my band but now plays with Heather Mills' future ex-husband.

An awful lot of you bothered to send condolences to me regarding my
Dad's passing. Thank you for taking the time. Your thoughts are
much appreciated. Many of you have experienced the same thing in
recent years, and to all of you, my condolences in return.
Life and death. Sums it up, doesn't it?
My Dad's passing is my second experience up close and personal with
the Reaper. The first was grim, the second pretty benign. I guess
I'm batting .500. I am truly grateful that he went peacefully. I
couldn't have asked for anything more.
Until next time.
