You are welcome, even prized, here at The Freshwater Aquarium.
Many of us have enjoyed usenet pond groups that have now become so
heavily trolled that they are hard to use. This group is committed to
civil interaction. Spammers, trollers and their messages are removed.
You will like the tone.
Five things that will help you here:
1. You are prized. We are glad you have come.
2. Flag pond messages: If you put 'Pond -' as the first word
in the subject line of your post, it will help other ponders
recognize pond posts.
3. Finding pond messages: The search box (upper right) lets
you search (filter) the group for 'pond' and locate all
pond posts. You can order them by date.
4. Google Alerts: You can set up a Google alert that will email
you to let you know what messages with pond have been posted.
Google can also let you know when someone has added to a
thread.
5. Our goal: A workable pond group. We hope to have an active
pond discussion here with enough participants that we can then
start a new group dedicated to ponds.

Advanced Search. Here you can enter your search words, pond ponds, in
the box marked "at least one of the words". Select from the dropdown
the number of message you wish to view, between one and one hundred.
For group name, enter The Freshwater Aquarium. Choose Sort By Date or
Sort By Relevance and click on Google Search. This will return results
where pond or ponds is in the topic or within the text of the message,
unless you specifically select for Topic only.
