  Hi. Honestly no ill feelings. I really do appreciate all of your &lt;br&gt; input. &lt;br&gt; &lt;p&gt;My friend came with me this morning to check out the puppy place. &lt;br&gt; There was 2 of them in a 8 x 6 pen. (there are lots of other pens &lt;br&gt; with more pups in). The pup I like was with a sausage dog pup. So &lt;br&gt; they do have some room to stretch their legs even if it isn&#39;t ideal.

  Well said Donna..... &lt;br&gt; &lt;p&gt;Getting a dog is always a difficult dilemma.....I think we all agree &lt;br&gt; that Puppy Farms are bad and that giving a dog from a rescue centre is &lt;br&gt; a good thing to do but I will say that rescue dogs have also usually &lt;br&gt; gone through a traumatic time as well.....The regulations put in place

  Thank you, Greg. Unfortunately, they said rescue wouldn&#39;t adopt to them &lt;br&gt; because they have a 5 year old child. I wouldn&#39;t adopt one of my Chis to &lt;br&gt; them either. I get more that have bitten a child because of rough play than &lt;br&gt; any thing else. The child might not mean to be rough but the tiny dog does &lt;br&gt; not know this.

  Why are so many of us trying to make Mellie feel bad? We all know that &lt;br&gt; Mellie is a smart, caring woman. We exressed our opinions, she expressed &lt;br&gt; hers and she has made her decision. At least we know that she&#39;ll give the &lt;br&gt; puppy a much better life than many people would. I think it&#39;s time for us to &lt;br&gt; give her a break.

  Sounds like a pound puppy to me. &lt;br&gt; My state opened a new department of Animal Cops a couple of years ago, &lt;br&gt; like you see on Animal Planet.   So I will be at thepetstore at 10am tomorrow to see if the puppy has been &lt;br&gt; sold and if mydaughter likes him. (there is no chance she won&#39;t) and see &lt;br&gt; if we can torture my hubby into buying him. Please wish me luck. He is the &lt;br&gt; least spontaneous person in the world Mellie &lt;br&gt; Guess I disagree with everyone else. The way I see it, a pet shop is no place for a puppy to live. We (back in my pet shop days) sold puppies we bought from breeders. Quit after we found chewing gum pushed into their ears. Guess it was good I didn&#39;t catch the SOB, young or old, leather sex, I would have stuck gum into their ear until it came out their other ear. Before that, had a couple dropped which broke their legs. The way I look at it, the faster the puppy gets out of the store, the better it will be for it, no matter where the puppy came from. Of course, nothing stopping you telling the pet shop owner what you think about pet shops selling puppies - I do it all the time, not that it makes any difference................
