EndNote X2 coming to OpenOffice and Word 2008

I thought some of you might be interested that the new version of
EndNote X2 (coming mid 2008) will integrate the Cite While You Write
functionality into Word 2008 and OpenOffice. This is great news to me
as I get EndNote supplied free by my university and have just switched
from MS Office to OpenOffice.

Only in mid 2008? I installed X1 and Office 2008 without knowing that CWYW would be disabled in the new version (Mac oS). New I will probably uninstall Office 2008. What a pity!

I specifically asked if the development of CWYW for Office 2008 was ongoing and their response was that it is coming in X2, so it looks like we won't be getting a free fix like the one they had for Word 2007.
