Hi folks, Just to let you know next weeks classes will be back at Doghouse as usual, the taster class next week will be bachata again, suitable for beginners & those with some experience, 6.30-7.15pm So far there will be Flamenco dancing on 20th Sept at OUT, still to hear back from the belly dancers though, african drummers can't come unfortunately this time.... more »

Hi folks, Just found out today that doghouse have a band on tue eve so the classes will be at Mondo on Session St instead, I'm trying to get the club downstairs if I can, if not they will be in the bar as last time, please let others know if you can, timings will remain as are usual. Hi folks, I've just confirmed OUT nightclub, Seagate, Dundee ( next door to the city centre function suite & bus station) for Latin Quarter on Sat 20th Sept, I'm trying to see if I can make it a Spice night and get some performers to come, if anyone has contacts for belly dancers or any other suitable performers who might be interested in helping either for free or a small donation as the night is for charity as you know.... more »

Hi folks, Next weeks taster class at The Doghouse will be Cha Cha but this time we will try it on 2, so i hope some of you who came to the Cha Cha class before will try this one too. Hi Folks, Next Tuesday at The Doghouse will be Bachata again, ( 6.30-7.15pm) anyone welcome as we will do the basics then a new sequence, £3 a class for street children, other 2 classes will run as usual afterwards. Hi folks, Next tuesday at doghouse bar is a Bachata taster class ( a nice latin dance from Dominican Republic, very easy), this will cater for either complete beginners or for people who know the basics already, 6.30-7.15pm, £3 for street children in Peru. Rat Pack Piano Bar, 9 Shandwick Place (near the Caledonian Hotel) Sundays 9-10pm, £5 We think this is a great venue - wonderful floor for dancing, plenty of room to move and lots of strategically placed mirrors so that you can discretely check out how your moves look! DJs Nano and Freddy will be playing music from 9pm - 1am and Yamil and I are teaching the Cuban salsa warm up class from 9-10pm. Should be fun!Really hope to see you there on Sunday night.... more »

Hi folks, I'm going to leave Latin Quarter this month as it's holiday time & venue problems just now, Gormans is on this Friday so you could go to that. My plan is to find another venue to try to do LQ on sat 20th Sept when Tom Jolly will be here, I'll try to make it a spice night ( with belly dancing & African drummers) if they are free, I couldn't get a venue for a band night for sept so will go with this plan & look for band venue for october, preliminary date is 18th Oct just now, but I'll keep you posted about these.... more »

Hi folks, Just found out today that city centre function suite has closed so I'll need to look at alternatives for Latin Quarter this month & next unfortunately.
