For my fast carbon bicycle I have a 2012 Roubaix Elite Compact. I
want a bicycle that will allow rear rack with allow frame. I only
want to spend no more than $2000. I am looking at the 2012 Secteur
Comp Compact and 2012 Tricross Comp 105 triple. I think the Tricross
that would allow most versatility with front and rear racks, but would
it be to lumbering slow? What bicycle would be best to get? I am on
the fence here and need you all expert opinion, please help.

First off, a disclaimer: I'm old school, all of my bikes are steel w/
down tube shifters, and I'm not concerned with being fast. What
matters to me is that my bikes are bomb-proof, comfortable, and that
they are put together without compromises in terms of the gearing/
components I happen to favor.

Given that context, I'm pretty impressed with the Tricross Comp.
Looks like a lot of bike for the money. I like that it comes with
700x32 tires. (Sounds slow and heavy doesn't it? Give it a try on
chipseal and see what you think.) I like the triple crank with a 50
big ring. Those wider tires (I weigh in the upper 180's and run mine
at 60 psi front, 80 in back) and that sensible crank (which encourages
spinning, rather than mashing) add up to increased comfort on longer
rides. I'd fiddle with the stem angle to get the bars up some which
will save your lower back at the end of a long day. If you want to
get more aero, just get in the drops and bend your elbows.

Add a rack, bags, lights, replace the saddle, and you're in rando
business.

So to demonstrate - something like this?

For those that felt the weight of my old black beast, this ride is lighter and much smoother! Its a 2008 Specialized Tricross, I rode it on the ride of silence last night. Found it on craigslist and it had hardly been ridden. No chain wear, clean cassette and rubber noodles still on the tyres (yes, I spell properly ;-)

I hope to get some time to be able to do some riding with you guys and girls again. Cub scout season is almost at a close!!

That is EXACTLY what I'm talking about. If it had fenders attached, I
might even shed a tear. . .

The fenders are here.. Didn't fit on the 32's. Also I advertised it with fenders...so if the buyer doesn't want them I'll snag them back.

They do come in useful. My commute (I do it when I have time, at least once a week) is the full length of Garden Ridge in Lewisville to Lakeside (lots of sprinklers flooding the road in the am) and the last bit is the campion trail in Irving to Las Colinas. That flooded several times at the beginning of the year and the mud it left behind was nasty!
