LSR,

Be sure to congratulate Steve Petty on his 20+ bonus miles today. He rode off the front and trusted his Garmin which had him going the wrong way towards Granbury. Lucky for him I called him. He was over 10 miles off course.

He is hanging in there and told us he will catch us. He will have a nice double century today.

Moral of the story: Paper doesn't lie, Garmins do.

Gary and the gang at Glen Rose.

Only thing better than a Q-sheet is a Q-sheet and a Garmin, the only thing
better than a Q-sheet and a Garmin is a Girlfriend with a Q-sheet and a
Garmin that knows how to use both, all I have to do is ride with Pam and I
don't ever get lost, well there was that one time :-) DD

The only thing better than  girlfriend with a Q-Sheet and a Garmin that knows how to use both, is a wife with a Q-Sheet and a Garmin that knows how to use both, and is on the same bike!

I've done my share of getting lost with a cue sheet, including adding 20 miles at 2 in the morning on a 400k.

Lately I've just been following the RBA around instead of looking at anything on rando rides, although I always have a cue sheet.

This weekend I did a local club ride. Since the course has a lot of turns and it's new to me I loaded it into my Garmin. Towards the end I got a popup message that said "rt turn on Sierra" accompanied by a big arrow showing a clear 90 deg left turn. Fortunately I was still riding with another rider who knew the area.
