I received all the cards from those who rode the Styx route and entered
all the results from it.  Looks you guys had quite the rolling party
from the huge number of riders.

Also, for those who came out to tackle the Arkansas hills, I've entered
all the results.  Thanks to everyone for coming out and making the
weekend so much fun.

Hot Springs weekend.... it was truly a great weekend of riding.

Thanks to George once again for his fine art of route crafting.  He
has a gift for finding these low traffic, lovely backroads (and a few
hills!).  Even better in perfection weather...... we enjoyed the onset
of fall with leaves gently falling and trees changing colors.
Bicycling heaven.

Eight LSRs embarked on this journey from Texarkana to Hot Springs, AR
and back.  We had a great group and fun riding!  But the star of the
show was our 9th member, Dottie Gibson (Vickie's mom) who drove sag.
She graciously hauled our overnight luggage, plus met us at every
control with a fabulous spread of sandwiches, cookies, you name it.
This is what transformed an already great journey into a top notch
weekend.

We explored downtown Hot Springs and Bathouse Row on Saturday night.
It was Halloween and we saw all kinds of people dressed in costumes.
One family stopped us on the sidewalk and demanded "trick or treat!"
Their kids were cute, so of course we offered up some treats!  And the
Arlington hotel was very nice.

Overall it was a great trip.... absolutely recommended as a fun
weekend getaway!

George, Thank You for the routes, they were great, and enjoyed everyone's
company, you all were great fun to ride with, had a great time, even though
I could'nt talk anyone into going to the hot tub! Thanks so much, John D.
