Thanks!!!
But, hahahaaa, I would not say I was behind Caroline by a very slim
margin! She completed multiple difficult events in Europe. Caroline
absolutely earned the #1 spot.
I was just riding a bike and doing these events for the personal
challenge, and challenge there was. I was not there for UMCA points.
And I greatly treasure the good bad and ugly experiences!!
I owe a big THANK YOU to Vickie and Shellene. Before those two
planted seeds, I did not care one bit about racing ultra events, or
UMCA points.
Now I would love to pass those seeds forward to other unsuspecting
cyclists. We already have a group forming for Sebring (Feb. 13-14,
2010), and the Texas Hill Country 600km race (March 13-14, 2010). Who
else might be interested in joining the fun?? Let's do it!! You do
not have to be a super-racer, I am proof of that!

Sharon chased the uber-gal Caroline van den Bulk all year and finished 2nd to her by a very slim margin and Vickie trounced the nearest competitor to win her age group by a huge margin. Both were miles in front of their nearest competition.
