Congrats to Mike Dayton on his whirlwind 400Km. Mike flew into DFW from North Carolina after work Friday evening, with just enough time for dinner (including desert) and to rig up his rented bike with lights before bed time. It was a long day from 4:30 am till almost 24 hours later when he got to hit the hay again, a few hours sleep,  breakfast with the gang, return the rented bike and it was off to his next adventure. I have never ridden a 400Km on a rented bike, but can only imagine it was less than comfortable. Mike, Thank you for making LSR your vacation destination. Will you be returning for the 300Km next week ;-) DanD

From what Gary told me this wasn't an easy 400K. Y'all didn't get
back until 2 in the morning and it was a strong group of riders. The
fine tuning that you work on getting your own bike just right. Riding
a rented bike for 400K, that just a whole level of serious rando.
Yeeeeeeha.

It was fun to ride with Mike and visit him on the 400k Saturday.  I'm glad he made the trip and was able to complete another series for the year.  A   great day with two flats but the interval training at mile 150 added some additional fun and was a blast.  We tried to keep Val on his best behavior but there is only so much we can do before we throw the hands up and let it go.  ;-)

Come back and join us for more rides, Mike!
