Mary, I just checked the radar and there's a goodly amout of showers sweeping down toward Junction from the Abilene area. I'm willing to bet that the monarchs will hit Junction on Friday if not Saturday. Look at the speed of these showers on radar! [link]... more »

On Friday, 11/3/06, I netted a male monarch on the north end peninsula to the Lavaca Bay Causeway to Port Lavaca. The monarch was nectaring on ham & eggs Lantana and was intent on what it was doing.
