I also found a danaid egg yesterday while checking a few Asclepias
oenotheroides in a field where monarchs were circling in Georgetown,
Williamson Co. (north of Austin)... Mike Quinn

Hi, Mike: netted a female Monarch on MX Milkweed [A.c.] on Saturday,
September 9, 3 p.m.; western Guadalupe County, IH 35 X fm 1103 (in my
garden). Placed her in cage with Mx Milkweed, where she oviposited
numerous eggs Sunday. Released Monarch Monday morning. Eggs began
hatching Thursday a.m., September 14. Regards, Joanne Wells.
