  Josh, &lt;br&gt; Per the Univ. Florida info site on the sp., it appears that the native &lt;br&gt; palmetto is the preferred host, but that they accept a WIDE variety of &lt;br&gt; other native and introduced palm genera, which strongly suggests that it &lt;br&gt; would readily take to hosting on Sabal texana. &lt;br&gt; Note that the weevil prefers to host in damaged trees.
