Um, 32 years old? So, he was about 11 while recording/touring with the Circle Jerks during their "Wonderful" period. Boy, he sure looked older than that in Repo Man. ha ha
A friend of mine from Cleveland (who grew up in So-Cal) is a good friend of Zander's. He had a band called (I think) Two Free Stooges in the early-mid 90's. I don't know if they released anything officially (I'm also too lazy to confirm or deny this right now), but they had a demo that was pretty swell...as long as you like some of the Flipside hyped 90's old punks playing glam/club Rock/punk stuff. Better than Celebrity Skin and a slew of those awful XXX Records bands from that era, but they couldn't touch the Leaving Trains.

Hey, does anyone know if Chip Schloss from Atomic Cowboy is related to Zander? I mean, he's included on the Cowboy Cabaret episode on Lo-Fi Saint Louis, and he looks just like him! Is he Zander's brother? Anyone know?

Actually, yes Chip is indeed Zander's brother. I was talking to him about his bro the other day. When he first mentioned him I thought he was saying he was a brother-in-law or something, but they're straight up brothers. He has all kinds of great stories about his brother's bands and travels. I guess Zander moved to CA when he was pretty young. Said he thinks he went to eigth grade here before moving.
As a side note, at the Gore Gore Girls / Left Arm show Chip said our bass player Jim's playing reminds him of "the bass player from The Circle Jerks." Yeah...cool.

when SodaPornStudios (recording studio pre-current Penny studios) was on the 4th floor of the Adler frame building, chip had a computer office of some sort on the first floor.
shook a stick at a skell when he was breaking into my jetta, but when the cops caught the guy and would not take my ID of him freom the 4th floor, chip refused to say it was him for fear of retobution.
