Bob/Teen attendance
|
| |
Bob, I understand your point of view re: allowing the teen to attend all the discussion groups he wants, even the one on male intimacy. What I meant, in my opinion, I didn't/don't feel it was right for a 13 year old teenage boy to attend a discussion about male intimacy. That topic should be addresses by his family, not a group of folks he only met the... more »

nerve signals and muscles
|
| |
Hi,
I'm interested in finding information on how nerve cells simulate
muscles and the actual nerve signalling system use in controlling a
muscle. Likewise with feedback from a muscle, what are nerve signals
that are generated. If anybody has some references to good articles on
this I would appreciate if you could pass them on to me.... more »

CP and computers
|
| |
Hello,
my name is Dana. I am trying to figure how to use the computer by
myself without caregivers help typing. I have severe CP which affects
my voice. Dragon Dicate doesn't work for me. I tried it on my computer
and it would not recognize the intro sentence "Welcome to General
Training". It understands my caregiver's voice just fine. What do you... more »

Teenager
|

Dina, I wondered about that (or whether both the teen and the uncle have CP). If the teen doesn't have CP, I'd question his motivations for wanting the info. If there were a teen _with CP_ interested in attending, I think they definitely should be encouraged to attend.

teen attendance
|

With all due respect to those who disagree, I don't think the young
man needs to attend this conference. I think there should be a teen
conference --- but this group cannot take that on when we are still
trying to figure out the future of our own. I worry that if teens
start to be included in this adult conference, we might not be as... more »

Teenager attendance

I'd like to weigh in on the issue of the teen who'd like to attend the conference next month. I am all for it with the acception of him attending the discussion about adult male intimacy issues. I am thrilled a young man is interested in finding out information about his uncle's CP. There are no teachers... more »

The CP conference is less than a month away. This year's conference
will be very important for the The CP Group because we will be
discussing the future of the organization. Should we attempt to form
regional groups? Should we move the conference to another city? How
can we identify members of The Group who will be willing to assume... more »
