Bob,

I understand your point of view re: allowing the teen to attend all the
discussion groups he wants, even the one on male intimacy. What I
meant, in my opinion, I didn't/don't feel it was right for a 13 year old
teenage boy to attend a discussion about male intimacy. That topic
should be addresses by his family, not a group of folks he only met the
day before, etc.

First let me thank all of you for your thoughts on my nephew attending
the conference. Second...Although he doesn't have CP he is very
interested in the group because he read the agenda and the light bulbs
went on!!!!
I asure you his modivation is strictly to LEARN...I was not going
to allow him to attend the topic on male intimacy. He and I talk very
open about my CP...

David,
Your nephew being at the conference I am in full support, no question.
However, being the facilitator for the abuse and neglect session ( Sunday
9;15-10;30 ), I request he not be in this session. Could I stand firm on
this reqest??.

Could I talk to him before the session?. My two concerns are we are going to
talk FREELY and HONESTLY thus emotional likely would run high. Second, I
soooooooooo what people to feel completely safe to have an auilt to aduilt
conversation.
